Packing and unpacking
of very high pallets

The very high pallets and crates are becoming more and more commonly used. The high pallets fill out the lorry up to the roof and transport costs are kept low.

However, the high pallets are tricky to pack and unpack because it is difficult to reach the top layers.

The operation is tiring and slow, and the waste rate higher than for normal pallets due to the awkward working postures.

An egg producer has solved the problem by means of a TRANSLYFT double vertical lifting table type TLD 1000, mounted in a 1170 mm deep pit. When the table is fully lowered, the platform is 800 mm below the floor level. When it is fully raised, it is 800 mm above floor level.

This means that even pallets built up to a height of 1800-2000 mm are easily packed and unpacked. With the pushbutton box the operator at his own choice adjusts the working height of the pallet and the work flows quickly and smoothly during a full working day.
